Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now a Romanian/German actress. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her career in showbiz as a child. She played lead roles in dramas on television as young at the age of 16. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall her character as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also critically acclaimed. The other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was engaged in numerous notable projects, both nationally as well as internationally. One of these is the British biographical film Control, Greek drama film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historical miniseries Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
