Matthew Matt James born in North Carolina 5 December 1991. He is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. The father of Manny James is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. He graduated of Sanderson High School. In 2015, James earned the Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James was first known for his role as The Bachelorette's reality TV star. In 2020, he was picked to become the bachelor for season 25 of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in 2021. James is the perfect selection for the role because he's well-rounded, tall and has good humor. Rachael Krukconnell was his lover at the end of season. In the following year, 2021, he was paired with the renowned dancer Arnold in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold placed 12th.
