Christina Hendricks was an American actress who is best known for her role as Joan Holloway. She played her role for seven seasons of AMC's period drama Mad Men from 2007-2015. Her work in the series won her critical appreciation and six Emmy nominations for the category for the most outstanding supporting actress. Since her time in the industry with over twenty years, she's also gained recognition for her roles as a character in the legal thriller Kevin Hill comedy series Another Period crime drama the series Tin Star and comedy-crime series Good Girls. In movies, she is praised by her character on Drive Ginger & Rosa Lost River The Neon Demon The Strangers: Prey at Night Egg and American Woman. She has also lent her voice in animated films such as From Up on Poppy Hill Toy Story 4 and Scoob!. The first time she was a fashion model and continued to work in the field for a number of years, before making her debut on television in the 1999 anthology Undressed. Her first big role was in the drama comedy series Beggars and Choosers following which she also was praised for her role in the popular show Firefly.
